Retreat, Connect

Set in a location of unparalleled natural beauty, with sweeping views, the Lodge offers absolute privacy and tranquility on the edge of the Aegean sea. Built on a slope right above the sea and a tiny fishing village, within the protected archeological area of the Ancient City of Milos, the retreat combines nature and culture in a unique way.

Conceived in partnership with world-class Greek architects, the Lodge has been designed in order to frame the pristine natural setting and offer a chance to reconnect with Nature and the Self. Blending perfectly into the landscape, the Lodge offers a peaceful paradise of Cycladic simplicity and elegance and the perfect base for exploring the amazing natural beauty of the island while living in understated luxury.

We are fully committed to preserving the spectacular natural environment of the island and the local culture and traditions that complement it. We strive to preserve local culture, pride, elements of agricultural heritage, food, the indigenous plants and animals, the archeological treasures of the island while cooperating and integrating with the local community. We aim to connect our guests with the vibrant local community while acting as the curator of the local experience.

We are very proud of our active involvement in initiatives to save the sea from pollution and preserve endangered marine life. Within the Lodge, sustainable practices and materials are employed throughout. The design strives to achieve a level of least intervention, simply pointing the way, while at the same time investing in cutting edge technology to create completely green structures.

The island of Milos boasts its own archipelago which includes among others, the islands of Kimolos, Polyegos and Andimilos. Extremely important in antiquity, these islands are full of ancient treasures, myths and memories both above and below the water. Accessible only by boat, the desert islands of the group are protected natural habitats of endangered animal species that enjoy the most pristine waters of Greece.

Hike to the top of Nichia. This hiking trail leads to the archeological area of Nichia, the site of the ancient opsidian mine and factory. The whole area is scattered with the remnants of the ancient mining activity dating back to 3,000 BC. You can see scores of obsidian made ancient arrows and tools abandoned millennia ago. Spectacular views of the island and the lodge from above.

Snorkel and enjoy a natural spa. Spot the bubbles of natural underground sulphur springs and sense the geothermal energy of the sparkling blue waters just below your villa. Have a natural spa in the ancient ruins of Skinopi just below the sea.

Island Hopping. The best way to explore Milos and its archipelago of nearby islands is by sea. On our private boat, visit the famous caves of Kleftiko and Sykia, both accessible only by sea. Then snorkel in the amazing blue waters of Polyegos, the most beautiful desert island in Greece and have lunch by the water in nearby tiny Kimolos. Return to Milos as the sun slips beyond the desert island of Andimilos. Encounter amazing wildlife along the way, the area is a sanctuary for bottle nose dolphins, cormorans, endangered caretta caretta sea turtles and one of only two habitats in Greece of the highly endangered monachus monachus seals.

Windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking, fishing and scuba diving can all be arranged upon request.
